“Every space is a new challenge, getting to know people and creating a space that fills their needs is what I love.”

Natasha Nash

Head Designer

Our head designer Natasha, is a graduate of Sheridan College Interior Design and has sixteen years of design experience, thirteen of which have been devoted solely to kitchen and bathroom designs.

With an eclectic design method that borrows elements from a wide array of styles and melds them into a cohesive approach, she finds inspiration in everything from design blogs like Apartment Therapy or Houzz to the layers and textural components found in nature.

Insider advice: Sometimes you need to decide what you don’t like in order to find what you do.

“I’m a believer in form following function. The way you use a space is the key to any successful design. The pretty is the easy part!”

Donna Bernard

Designer

Something of a Jack of all trades (or Jill?), Donna not only has been practicing commercial and residential design since 1995 but also taught it for 3 years. A graduate of the Interior Design program at Durham College, she’s done everything from restaurant and retail design to millwork, laundry and mudrooms, fireplace built-ins and, of course, kitchens and baths.

With a love for everything from modern to traditional, Donna is drawn towards craftsman style, clean lines, country-inspired or urban farmhouse design and natural elements.

She’s at her most creative and inspired when at her drafting table overlooking the majestic Ottawa River and finds deep satisfaction in helping client’s dreams become reality.

Insider advice: Take inventory of what you have so can you purge! Make a budget, everyone has one even if they don’t want to share it but it is key to helping the designer make choices on layout, types of storage cabinets and the added details for the aesthetics of the design.

“I’ll often find inspiration in how the client wants to feel in their space and for the end result to be one the client loves.”

Sara Edgerton

Designer

With a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Science from Ryerson University, a diploma in Interior Decorating and a graduate certificate in Kitchen & Bath Design from Algonquin College as well as teaching in that same program later, it’s safe to say Sara’s passion for design runs deep.

Her approach is centered on tastefully fusing form and function to create a space clients love and pulling her design inspiration straight from their tastes.

Insider Advice: Give a lot of thought to how you work in your space so that you can talk to your designer about those needs. The function of the space is the most important thing to figure out when designing, whether it’s a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, mudroom, etc.  The finishes and style are actually the easier part.

"Every project is unique and so are my clients. Let's enhance that space to reflect your needs and personality."

Shanna Hebert

Design Consultant

With Shanna’s “outside of the box” personality and a genuine passion for design, the roots of her career can be traced back to Algonquin College. After graduating from the Interior Decorating Program, Shanna went on to work with a local home builder for four years before moving on to a custom millwork company for another seven years. While working with custom millwork, Shanna was able to expand her knowledge of materials and bring designs to reality. During this time, her design focus expanded to include kitchen, as well as furniture and bath.

After more than ten years of Kitchen and Bath design, Shanna was recruited to become Account Manager at a custom stone fabrication company. Spending four years as Account Manager helped Shanna master her knowledge within the larger industry. Since 2017, Shanna has also been the Communications Officer for the Ottawa Chapter of the NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association).

Having a passion for rustic and modern, Shanna enjoys rebuilding existing spaces, especially older homes. Houzz, Pinterest and following trends within the Kitchen and Bath space are just some of the ways she stays inspired. Shanna’s constant pursuit for satisfaction always leaves her clients feeling heard, understood, and part of The Cabinet Connection family.

Insider Advice: Do not be afraid of change, you may surprise yourself!
